New England Kink Calendar
New England is just bustling right now with kink groups and educational and social events. It can be difficult sometimes to stay on top of everything going on! We've created an at-a-glance place for all the kinky events and places to go to meet other hot, fun people!
About the calendar:
A Google Calendar has been created to gather New England (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT) kink happenings in one very accessible public place. This calendar is maintained by members belonging to different kink groups and NELA (http://nelaonline.org) is hosting it for us.
Who is welcome to participate?
- Kink groups / organizations (kink = BDSM, S/M, D/s, Master/slave, leather, fetish, sex-positive, etc.)
- Kink events
- Kink businesses holding kink events
Event-listings will be for in-person events only. Listings for things like online chat rooms or fetish nights at dance clubs won't be included. Big, out-of-the-area events like TES Fest, the Leather Leadership Conference, and Black Beat will be listed as we find out about them. What participants need to do:
- If you do not already have one, create a Google Calendar and fill it with your events. Keep it updated!
- Send a link to your Google Calendar to buildcommunity AT newenglandkinkcalendar.com with a quick blurb about your group / business for the Web page.
- Spread the word! If you know of other folks who should be included on this calendar, let them know. And post the information about this calendar on your Web sites, blogs, mailing lists, etc. Tell your kinky friends to check out http://newenglandkinkcalendar.com
It is important to create a Google Calendar -- even if you already have an announcement listing or non-Google calendar for your events -- because sharing information from one Google Calendar to another Google Calendar is much less time-intensive than one person trying to generate new listings for multiple groups detail by detail. (If you are a kink producer or entertainer and you only have one or two events a year that you want to promote, just e-mail us with those details and we will create a calendar entry.)
Google Calendar is a free, web-based application that allows individuals to share their schedules and events with one another.

Note: You can get the HTML link for your calendar by righting-clicking the down-arrow button next to the name of your calendar in the bar on the left-hand side of the screen, Once you hit that button, select "calendar settings" and when a new window opens, scroll to the bottom of the screen where it says "public location" and hit the HTML button. A window pops up that gives you a long, involved HTML link. This is how folks without Google Cal will access the calendar without signing up for an account.
